If Hoola Came Down To An Appeal…

Blackpool Vital understands that if the Wes Hoolahan saga came down to an appeal (if we win or lose) FIFA would not allow special dispensation for the Irish winger to play for The Seasiders, pending the appeals outcome.

This information has come from the English FA – whom we have spoken to on numerous occasions – who stated that they had requested special dispensation for Blackpool and Hoolahan if the original verdict was appealed against.

In short, The FA asked FIFA if (when) an appeal is made by the losing club, could Hoolahan play for Blackpool whilst the appeal is being heard. FIFA rejected this.

It is heartening that the FA are trying to be pro-active about the issue, and there request to FIFA in my view dispels myths that they don’t do anything!

Unless ‘Pool and Livi sort their differences out soon, this transfer has the potential to drag and drag, and for the second season running Wes’ pre season will be done mid season!

We do hope to bring some good news soon!
