Paul Ince is bound to speak highly of Tom Ince as he’s his son, however he’s insisted that his thoughts on how highly he rates him aren’t entirely biased! To be fair he’s got a point, as the 21-year-old is an exceptional talent.

Ince senior knows that Ince junior will leave Blackpool at some point, and once again he’s being heavily linked with a summer exit, but he is hopeful (telling Sky Sports) that he gets at least another season from him.

Paul Ince said: ‘He will move on and be a top, top player in the Premier League. I just hope it’s not this summer he moves.

‘The 18 goals he scored this season kept Blackpool in the Championship. I’m not just saying that because he’s my son. When you look at his goals and assists, he’s done brilliantly.’

The midfielder has been heavily linked with a return to former club Liverpool, where both father and son have played, along with the likes of Tottenham and previously another of Paul’s former sides Man United before that.

However, it’s a new link that could see him also follow in his fathers former footsteps, as Inter Milan are for a second time being reported as serious contenders for Tom’s signature?

Weekend reports suggest that the Serie A giants are following up an initial interest with “negotiations continuing” over a potential £10m move to the San Siro.
