Former Southampton man Jason Euell has signed for The Seasiders.

The 32-year-old, who impressed whilst playing in midfield for The Saints, has signed a one year deal with an option of another on top of that on a free transfer.

Manager Ian Holloway was delighted at the news, saying ‘Jason is someone I’ve admired for a long time.

‘He can play in a variety of roles that I want to use him in and it’s absolutely vital that he chose us.’

Euell stated that Holloway was the deciding factor upon choosing Bloomfield Road as his next destination after spells at Southampton, Wimbledon, Middlesbrough and Charlton.

‘I had a meeting with Ian last week to discuss things.

‘It swayed me to come here and be part of what Ian’s trying to achieve in moving the club forward.’

Something which hasn’t been mentioned is the money troubles that Euell and his company currently find themselves in. Hopefully this won’t interfere with his performances on the pitch.

Look forward to some comical ball control. E.g ?he has tried to trap the ball on edge of the Blackpool area and the ball has gone for a goal kick?
