Defender Marc Joseph has left the club.

The 30 year old has teamed up with Mark Robins at Rotherham United in League Two, and has secured a two year deal.

He said: ‘I have four promotions under my belt and think I can help the younger players with my experience.’ and also added ‘It’s been a frustrating time at Blackpool and there was little opportunity of first team football there,’ when talking to local media.

‘I’m at an age now where i need regular football and hopefully I’ll get that here. The manager’s enthusiastic and I’m confident we can be successful in our bid to win promotion back to League One.’

Joseph is the first high profile player to be allowed to leave, and expect more to follow – whether under contract or not.
