Liverpool website reveals Charlie Adam is moving away from the Seasiders.

It is being reported that Charlie Adam is close to signing for Liverpool in a deal worth around £10m.

kopsource.com say that Adam’s representatives have negotiating the deal whilst they player’s been away on holiday in Dubai.

The Blackpool captain has been the subject of rumours surrounding his future since January and Pool always had a tough task in keeping their linchpin after relegation.

However, it was imperative that they held out for a sum which matched his Premier League value – especially as several different parties are taking a cut of the money. They include his previous employers, Glasgow Rangers, who the Seasiders play in a pre-season friendly next month.

Rumours are circulating that Ian Holloway could take a Liverpool midfielder on loan as part of the deal. The player most heavily linked is Jonjo Shelvey – who was signed from Charlton by the Reds last summer but failed to make a real impact in the top flight.

It would be important for Pool to take a player in the opposite direction, given that the transfer fee will be split up in a few directions.

Anfield fans sound pretty certain that they’ve finally got their man; Adam has arrived home from his holiday and developments are sure to happen quickly.
