The draw for round three of this year’s League Cup competition will take place at around 9.45-10pm on Wednesday evening following the Accrington Stanley v Burnley tie.
The draw for the third round sees the remaining Premier League sides – who are competing in Europe this year – enter, and the draw again will be shown live on Sky Sports when the Wednesday fixtures complete the final places in the next stage of the competition.
With most ties taking place on Tuesday evening, Accrington, Burnley, Fulham, Middlesbrough, Morecambe, Bournemouth, Sunderland and Shrewsbury will find out their fates on Wednesday – and with a number of upsets at round one with scalps being taken, the neutrals will be looking at who else potentially makes headlines for the wrong reasons.
