Blackpool Chairman Karl Oyston is still pursuing legal action which includes a defamaton claim against the Sun Newspaper, as revealed in his meeting with the Fans Progress Group.

The minutes of the meeting also revealed that action was taken against a Premier League footballer who appeared on BBC Radio 5Live but ended after the player apologised.

There is also police action being taken against seven people involved in the pitch invasion on the final day of last season against Huddersfield, with two being banned and five set to appear in court.

It is understood that two other individuals have also been charged with harassment and three have been given harassment warnings.

Despite this, Karl Oyston has said: ” The pitch invaders will be offered an amnesty, subject to signing an acceptable behaviour order. However, we are waiting for a Police report following the Huddersfield pitch invasion which is expected within the next 2-3 weeks that may result in further actions being taken.
