Blackpool’s League One fixtures for the coming 2015-16 campaign will be known on the all important date of Wednesday June 17.
It seems barely a moment ago we drew the curtain down on the 2014-15 campaign but with player movements and pre season friendlies being organised and announced, the time for the all important fixture day and diary planning draws nearer.
We know the League One season, with new manager Neil McDonald charged with – at least – keeping us at this level with an instant promotion already looking a tall order, begins on the weekend of August 8 and that is quickly followed by the Capital One Cup first round ties in the week beginning August 10.
With the league fixtures known on June 17, a day earlier on Tuesday June 16 at 10am we will find out our opponents in the League Cup first round as well.
The Football League Trophy will commence at the end of August on the week beginning August 31.
As is now the norm, we will have a busy Christmas period with games on Boxing Day, December 28 and January 2 but we won’t be in action on New Year’s Day.
The Football League Trophy Final has been set for April 3 and the regular League One season is set to end on the weekend of May 7/8 – with the Play Off Final taking place on May 29.
