Liverpool defender Lloyd Jones has extended his loan deal at Blackpool until the end of the season.
The 19 year old, who has impressed for the Seasiders this pre-season, originally arrived on a short term deal but has decided to extend his stay.
Speaking to the official site Jones said: ‘I’ve been here just over two weeks now and I’ve really enjoyed the training. It’s been fairly hard in pre-season but we’re ready to go on Saturday now.’ adding: ‘I’m very excited for the season coming up, there’s lots of games and hopefully lots of experience to be gained as well.’
McDonald seems very impressed by Jones so far and he could well start in Saturday’s game at Colchester. Young loanees have often proved to be very good players for Pool in the past. The likes of Donervon Daniels, Callum McManaman and Nouha Dicko all spring to mind. Lets hope Jones can be added to that list.
