A number of short term loanees have now left the club ahead of our FA Cup third round tie against Aston Villa tomorrow.

Following the earlier ‘curious case of Murphy’ and the social media faux par, manager Lee Clark has opted to send Jacob back to Norwith early.

The 19 year old winger was set to remain until February 2 but that has now been cancelled and he leaves us having made nine appearances, with a return of two goals.

The gaffer explained to the Official Site.

‘Jacob is a talented player with a bright future ahead of him and his recent actions should not detract from that. However, he realises that he made an error of judgement and understands why we have come to this decision. The players and the team need to be fully focused on our fight to stay in the Championship.’

Midfielder John Lundstram has been recalled by his parent club Everton. The 20 year old was due to remain with us until the end of the season, and in total he made 18 appearances for us, but his last appearance came against Leeds back in November and presumably Everton wanted him to be getting more pitch time.

Fellow midfielder Stuart O’Keefe has also now returned to Crystal Palace following the expiry of his short term deal with us. In total he made four appearances for us.

Defender Donervon Daniel’s spell has also come to an end and he returns to West Bromwich Albion. Having joined us back in August he made 19 appearances in total, and the 21 year old scored his only goal in the game against Huddersfield on Boxing Day.

Right back Kevin Foley has also now returned to Wolverhampton Wanderers following the expiry of his deal. In his second stint at Bloomfield Road, he made four appearances for us.
