Looking around league one

After Saturday’s defeat the Seasiders are in 19th place on 47 points and a goal difference of -8, only Bournemouth out of the teams at the bottom have a healthier goal difference of minus 4.

Bournemouth travel to Walsall on Tuesday night, Walsall stand second bottom on 43 points. Swindon travel to south Wales to take on Swansea, Swindon are just above Walsall due to a better goal difference.

Hartlepool who occupy the last relegation spot take on Colchester who will be looking to pick up three points to bolster their play-off spot.

So with three of the bottom seven playing on Tuesday night what’s the best outcome as far as we are concerned ?

Colchester v Hartlepool
Home win
Swansea v Swindon
Home win
Walsall v Bournemouth,
Draw

If these results come through for us then it would mean Walsall are pretty much out of catching us, but would set their sights on finished one place above the relegation zone. Wins for Hartlepool and Swansea would secure that all the teams at the bottom are in reaching difference with each other.

But one point for definite is that unless we string a run of 3 wins together we are going to be in the mire until the last week.

On Friday Yeovil host Scunthorpe, if the home side win theyll be on to 52 points and realistically insure their spot in League One.

So keep your eyes pealed and fingers crossed on Tuesday night and lets hope that some of our League One counterparts can hand us a few favours.
