Reserve team manager Steve Thompson was able to name a stronger side than recent weeks and it paid off with a fantastic result at the Athletic Stadium.
The Pools team included trialist Nikolaos Galas from Greece who was looking to impress.
iaran Donnelly opened the scoring after good approach play from Fox and Kay. The score was doubled from a free-kick, Rory Prendergast with that just before the break.
Kay and Paterson got the two goals in the second half to round of a good nights work.
