The Football Association have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the game against Barnsley this Tuesday.

Blackpool travel to Barnsley on Tuesday January 17 for the FA Cup third round replay at Oakwell and the match carries a 7.45pm kick off.

Referee: Roger East
Linesmen: Akil Howson and Wayne Grunnill
Fourth Official: Ross Joyce

Match Day referee East has taken in 18 games so far in 2016/17 with a return of 76 yellow cards and five red cards.

His highest card count this season was eight yellow cards in the Oxford v Millwall match. He also showed seven yellows in the game between Scunthorpe United and Millwall, and six yellows and one red in the Cardiff City v Brighton encounter.

He took charge of 39 matches last season and in those games, across all competitions and football divisions, he handed out a total of 119 yellow cards and two red cards.

He was most card happy in the match between Brighton and Sheffield Wednesday in May with a total of eight yellows being shown.

Let`s hope it`s not another repeat and more of our players edge closer to automatic bans.
