The Football League have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the game against Colchester United this Saturday.

Blackpool travel to Colchester United on Saturday September 10 for the game at the Colchester Community Stadium and the match carries a 3pm kick off.

Referee: Brendan Malone
Linesmen: Ashvin Degnarain and Kevin Howick
Fourth Official: Craig Hicks

Match Day referee Malone has officiated nine games in 2016/17 with a return of 29 yellow cards and one red card.

He took in 31 matches in 2015-16 and in those games, across all competitions and football divisions, he handed out a total of 80 yellow cards and six red cards.

He was most card happy in the match between Portsmouth and Accrington Stanley on September 5 with a total of seven yellows being shown. He matched that with Brentford and Charlton in March.

Let`s hope it`s not another repeat and more of our players edge closer to automatic bans.
