After three straight victories in the league, Neil McDonald has spoke of his satisfaction with his side’s recent form and insists the players are leaning as they go along.
Speaking to the official site, he said: ‘It’s about time people start talking about Blackpool in a good light, the players want to be here and are trying their best for the shirt.’
‘The players are learning as we go along because we’re still a young team in its infancy that only came together at the start of the season. We’re growing together and the information they’re taking on board now, they’re getting their just rewards from.’
Many fans feared for Blackpool at the start of the season given the lack of experience in the squad, but at the moment the young players are doing extremely well.
McDonald added: ‘We’ve work very hard on the training ground all the way through, right from the start of the season all the way up to now and we’ll continue to do that. If we need to change the system then we work very hard at that system and the players take on board how to work it and how to do it.’
Up next for the Seasiders is a home fixture against 22nd placed Oldham where Pool are chasing their fourth successive win.
