Fussy official, Ray Olivier (West Midlands)took charge of Blackpool`s 2-0 defeat at Saltergate against Chesterfield. How did our forum members rate him?
Well, not very well in all honesty! All of our members who rated the ref gave him 1 out of 5.
The referee from the West Midlands always attracts attention to himself when he officiates and didn`t disappoint on a cold and rainy New Years Day (hopefully the weather wasn`t a sign as to the type of year The Seasiders are to have).
One decision which infuriated Pool fans was when Olivier stopped play and awarded Blackpool a freekick when Wes Hoolahan was bursting through on goal when the game was at 0-0.
The referee gave 12 fouls against the ‘pool and issued 2 yellow cards.
Ray Olivier – 1/5

Onwards + Upwards – literally.
What is it about Mr Olivier and the Seasiders!
Well, another BENT referee as frank would say, at least we don’t have him every week!!
It would make this feature very boring putting 1’s in every week Jerry!
