Men In Black – Andy D’Urso

Andy D’Urso was referee of Blackpool’s historic 1-0 away win at Leicester City, but how did he do?

The last time D’Urso refereed a ‘Pool game was the playoff final against Yeovil where he managed a men in black rating of 3.5

This time he seems to have done a bit better after a solid showing at The Walkers Stadium.

What the forum members thought:

I’ll start us off with a 3. Glad no bookings, thought he missed a fair few pushes etc but good decision for the goal. Disappointed with the amount of extra time allowed though.

3 for me. He did not have much help from the liners.

4/5, on the basis that 5 minutes was probably the correct amount of time to play at the end, due to the injury…

4 from me at least he let play carry on when their player was injured ,how many times does it happen a player goes down when they are in trouble to get play stopped. Missed a bit of the physical stuff from De Vries. Should have booked Hume for impersonating Keigan.

4/5 – As mentioned he did miss some of the fouls from De Vries against Jacko and Evatt. Overall very pleasing let’s hope it continues!

4/5. I believe he was spot on with the extra time, and allowed the game to flow.

BFCLuke gave him a 5 as well, which meant his average score for the City game was 3.9

That now leaves his overall MIB rating at: 3.7 – one of the best referees we have come across since starting the feature last January.
