Transfer news on deadline day at Bloomfield Road is gathering pace amid reports that the Seasiders have had a bid for Southend United’s Bilel Mohsni rejected.

Sky Sports claim that ‘Pool have had a bid in the region of £500,000 plus clauses rejected for the 23 year old centre half.

Mohsni only joined the Shrimpers in September, but has caught the eye with a number of good performances, both at centre half and in attack (where he’s been playing in recent weeks due to an injury crisis at Roots Hall).

However, it’s his performances in defence that are said to have attracted the Seasiders as they look to replace Dekel Keinan who joined Cardiff earlier this month.

Sky claim that Southend want to retain Mohsni’s services until the end of the season, but it is believed that the Seasiders are just one of a host of clubs tracking the player so we may not have heard the last on this front.
