What a hectic few days over Christmas it was for Seasiders! Losing Simon Grayson to Leeds, with Tony Parkes and Steve Thomson taking over, nobody was quite sure what type of performance they would witness at Sheffield Wednesday.

But my gosh what a fantastic display we did get, that was easily our best performance in ages, and it does beg the question that I asked prior to the game how much were Parkes and Tommo behind Grayson’s success?

Three different players were nominated. Keith Southern picked up 12.5% of the vote with his good performance in the middle of the park.

Kyel Reid again impressed and picked up 25% of the votes, Kyel had a good game down the left hand side, and many fans will be hoping that a loan extension is possible.

The winner this week with 62.5% of the votes was Alan Gow. Gow put in quite a remarkable display and capped it off scoring the penalty. He caused the Sheffield defence all sorts of problems and nearly won it at the end with a good effort from a long way out.

Sheffield Wednesday’s MOTM Alan Gow has now moved into joint second with three votes, only one vote behind Ian Evatt and Adam Hammill who are winning with four votes.
