Daniel Nardiello has not enjoyed the best of times since his move to Blackpool, but the striker will be looking to impress manager Ian Holloway during the second half of the season as he looks to earn a new contract.

Nards has struggled with both form and fitness since arriving from QPR, but after setting up Brett Ormerod’s last minute winner against Watford last weekend, he claims that he is fitter than ever and ready to play a big role for the club during the second half of the season.

‘I feel great, the best I have since I came here – in fact it’s probably the fittest I’ve been,’ he said.

‘I have come back from an injury, did OK on loan at Bury and the gaffer called me back, so now I’ve got to try to work my way back into the team gradually.

‘I am training hard, enjoying it, and I’m just raring to go. I want to play as much as possible and hopefully more of what happened last Saturday can happen in the next few weeks.’

With Ian Holloway failing to secure the likes of Arsenal’s Jay Emmanuel-Thomas and Celtic’s Patrick McCourt amongst others during this month’s transfer window, now is the time for Nards to really show the Seasiders faithful what he’s about.
