Nyron Nosworthy has said he feels our late equaliser against Charlton Athletic shows the growing spirit and belief within the Blackpool squad at the moment.

Having rescued a point with a Steven Davis goal right at the death extending our unbeaten run to four at The Valley, the defender said all he could see at the moment were positives and a growing belief amongst the group as he spoke to the Official Site.

‘We’re sticking together, and that’s how we’ll keep pulling things in the right direction. These points count because anything is better than a loss and we’re getting the right results on the pitch. It’s nice to come in and do positives things so long may it continue, and hopefully we’ll climb out of the bottom three.’

Playing alongside Peter Clarke in the centre of defence for the last three games, going unbeaten Nosworthy says has pleased him because it means he’s doing his job and he feels his partnership with Clarke is improving each and every game now.

‘I’m enjoying it, Clarkey is a good honest defender and you need players who’ll work hard for the team. He’s a leader by the way he defends. With his attitude everyone follows suit and I’m the same, so it’s enjoyable to play alongside him.’

Nosworthy says the fact he feels they are both ‘honest’ defenders in the main who try and focus on doing the right things and not showing off or shining individually has helped them form a good partnership as they compliment each other nicely so he’s hoping they can keep more clean sheets between them, and then if we fire at the other end, we can pick up more wins as well.
