It’s being reported that contract talks for Jamie O’Hara have unfortunately stalled at the moment.

The midfielder has been one of our better performers this season, but his short term deal expired following the FA Cup third round defeat to Aston Villa at the weekend.

Talks have been ongoing for the last week to try and find a conclusion but that doesn’t seem to have panned out just yet for the 28 year old as agreement seems a little way off.

With his performances this season, the 28 year old does have interest from other clubs and it’s suggested that he has been in talks over a deal with both Wolves and Tottenham and potentially a third interested club.

In quotes carried by the Blackpool Gazette manager Lee Clark said.

‘Jamie has been a terrific player for us. He hit the ground running and his levels of consistency have been really high. He’s a player I want to keep without a shadow of a doubt. I’m confident we can, I know Jamie wants to stay here. He’s enjoying his football after a tough time before he cane here. He’s always had the talent and I think he’s enjoying himself.’

Blackpool are also talking to Darren O’Dea who is in a similar situation with his short term deal expiring also, but from twitter indications from the player a deal should be close for the 27 year old.

‘O’Dea’s contract has come to an end and we are in talks as we speak. We are hopeful a deal can be done.’
