Pool travel to the highest football ground in the UK to face the top team in League One.

Oldham will be with out the former Pool midfielder Richie Wellens who was sent of in the weekend match for violent conduct.

Defender Simon Charlton is out with a hamstring strain, Stefan Stam and Kelvin Lomax will battle it for his starting place.

Player to watch: Chris Porter

The big forward has been in top form this season with his 19 goals helping the Latics to the top of the League. Signed from Bury Porter has only hit one in his last four games.

Blackpool Team News:

Kieth Southern returns to the squad after a one match suspension, he should replace Claus Jorgensen in the middle. Also looking for a start is Simon Gillett who impressed on the right wing after replacing Adrian Forbes at halftime in the Brentford match.

Player to watch: Shaun Barker

Barker was one of the only players to come out of the match on Saturday with some credit, solid at the back and unlucky to grab a goal in the first half after an excellent surging run off the wing.

The two sides shared the spoils this season, Scott Vernon opened the scoring for the Pool, Oldham took the lead thanks to goals from Wellens and Porter. A late Andy Morrell goal salvaged the points for the Seasiders.

The last time Pool snatched all the points at Boundary Park was in 2004, departed duo Murphy and Wellens the scorers.
