Ian Holloway reckons the Seasiders will be signing a few new faces this week.

The gaffer did say that he’s not happy with Premier League rules meaning the club cannot bring in loan players after the August bank holiday transfer deadline.

‘To be honest I’m pretty furious about the rules. It’s not like last year where we can bring players in after the window is shut.

‘We’ve got 15 fit players (three of which are goalkeepers) and that won’t last until January, will it?’ Ollie said.

‘You try and find good characters to your company and hope they have the same ethos. It’s not about just picking up money.

‘I’m a bit apprehensive (about the season starting) obviously when you look at the quality of all the other teams and the starting eleven they’ve got.

‘Pool have been absolutely slated on internet message boards for their lack of transfer activity so far but Holloway said: ‘I can’t spend one minute worrying about what the fans think. This time next week I’d imagine we’ll have a few more players in.’

The manager has said recently that some of the offers in for players have been insulting. Things do look set to change with increased panic at Bloomfield Road with the new season just two and a half weeks away.

Welcome to the PL. I’m sure your friends at PNE are eagerly awaiting your comeback into Championship but prove them wrong and good luck!
