Here we look back into the history of Blackpool FC looking at 2009 …

On this day in 2009 Blackpool signed their main man, Charlie Adam on a permanent deal for a club record fee of £500,000 from Rangers.

The deal came after a succesful loan spell the season before under Tony Parkes, where he played an important part in keeping the Seasiders in the Championship

New Manager Ian Holloway made Charlie one of his main targets of the summer, but did anyone really know the rise that we would take in this one season alone.

Charlie signed a 2 year + one year option, being sold to Liverpool after just 2 years for a fee of around £6 million.

He scored 30 goals for Blackpool in 91 Appearances.
