Blackpool’s signing of one winger has enabled Gary Bowyer to part with another.

21 year old Jordan Flores has joined Blackpool on loan from Championship side Wigan until the end of the season.

The academy graduate at the DW Stadium has made four appearances for Wigan this season – playing 11 in total since coming through the clubs set up – and was the Latics’ Young Player of the Year last season.

Bowyer told the Official Website his arrival boosted his midfield options after Michael Cain return to parent club Leicester.

‘Jordan has great quality on the ball, he’s very good technically and we’re looking forward to working with him. We’ve been looking to strengthen our midfield options since Michael Cain went back to Leicester City, and we feel going forward that Jordan will add some more creativity and goals to the team.’

Following Flores’ arrival an agreement was reached with Mark Yeates today to end his stay with Blackpool. His contract was mutually cancelled to enable him to complete a transfer to League 2 rivals Notts County.

The 32 year old – who had made almost 400 career league appearances – had made 16 appearances for Pools this season.

Confirming his exit a statement on the Official Website read.

‘The club is now in a position to confirm that Mark Yeates has left Blackpool in order to join Notts County. The English Football League has ratified the cancellation of his contract, allowing him to link up with Kevin Nolan’s side on a deal until the end of the season. The winger departs Bloomfield Road having made 27 appearances since joining from Oldham Athletic 12 months ago.’
