Ormerod Appeal Latest

Radio Lancashire were reporting yesterday evening that Blackpool will not appeal against the red card received by Brett Ormerod on Saturday.

Ormerod was dismissed in the second half against Coventry after an altercation with Aron Gunnarsson, although it has been widely suggested that Brett was an innocent party in the affair.

There is a lack of tv footage on the incident, but the Blackpool Gazette yesterday claimed to have a photo of the incident that proved Brett’s innocence that they would be giving to the club to form the basis of an appeal.

However, it appears that even this is not enough to clear Ormerod and that he will probably now receive a three match ban for violent conduct.
