Oyston Won’t Sell

Blackpool Chairman Karl Oyston has insisted he won’t be selling Blackpool Football Club and will work to fix the problems at the club.

Blackpool FC fan groups such as the BST have been protesting against the Oyston families ownership for some time now and offered to buy the club last year.

Questions over where club money has gone in recent years along with a serious lack of stability at the club means a large proportion of fans now want new ownership.

Though speaking to BBC Radio Lancashire, Oyston insisted: ‘There`s no appetite to sell, there`s no appetite to leave, there`s a massive appetite to deal with the problems we`ve got.’

‘The on the pitch problems are well on the way to being prepared, the off field problems in some cases may be repairable, in some cases not.’

‘As things stand there are no interested party which has made a money offer to give us a decision to make. I really can`t see that changing, there aren`t legions of people falling over each other to buy football clubs.’

Despite attendances having plummeted this season, Oyston insists ‘There`s certainly a feeling of togetherness.’
