A section of the Bloomfield Road pitch is having to be relayed after some damage from the Neil Diamond concert.
Images appeared on Twitter earlier of a section of the pitch in front of the north stand being relayed but it was unsure whether they were genuine, but they have now proven to be legitimate.
The pitch was much criticised last year and with good cause, towards the end of the season it was a disgrace. Having similar issues again this year would be a huge hindrance to the team and it would appear the early signs are not good. Let’s hope problems with the pitch don’t persist.
