The Daily Mail are today linking Blackpool with a bid for Bayern Munich’s Turkish striker Deniz Yilmaz.

Yilmaz, who is 22, has found first team opportunities at the German champions limited and finds himself behind Miroslav Klose, Mario Gomez, Thomas Muller and Ivica Olic in the pecking order.

He has 27 goals in 88 appearances for Bayern’s second team and three goals in eight appearances for Turkey’s U21s (he was German born but elected to play for Turkey).

The Mail reports that Bayern are willing to sell for £750,000, that the player is keen on a move to England and that the Seasiders have ‘launched an audacious bid’ for him given the amount of interest in him in the last few months from clubs such as Celtic and Newcastle.

Will it be a case of Turkish Delight for the Seasiders?
