Blackpool this afternoon strengthened their attacking options ahead of tomorrow night’s visit of Doncaster by signing Wigan forward Callum McManaman on loan.

The 20 year old England Under 20 international joins the Seasiders on a three month youth loan, although the Latics can recall the player after 28 days if they wish.

McManaman – a distant relative of Steve McManaman – began his career at Everton before joining Wigan on a free transfer in 2007.

He had made nine appearances for Roberto Martinez’s side so far and has two years to run on his contract, having signed a new deal at the DW Stadium in April.
