According to the Blackpool Gazette, the Seasiders have enquired about the availability of up and coming Rangers midfielder John Fleck, and are hopeful of taking the player on loan.

The 19 year old – who can play either on the left wing or in behind the strikers – signed a three year deal with the Scottish champions last summer, but has so far been restricted to 37 league appearances, so could well be available.

‘Pool boss Ian Holloway is known to want to strengthen his attacking options following the departure of DJ Campbell yesterday, and the French trialist who played v Sheff Utd being sent home.

However, the Seasiders are not expected to sign anyone before tonight’s clash with Hull.
