‘Pool Transfers: Will Today Be The Day?

If reports are to be believed, the Seasiders had up to four players having medicals yesterday.

Two are widely accepted as being Craig Cathcart and Ludovic Sylvestre – from Manchester United and Mladá Boleslav respectively. The fee for Cathcart is thought to be £500,000 with a deal for Sylvestre possibly less.

These two names are now added to the impressive capture of Dekel Keinan on a free after he decided against renewing his contract at Maccabi Haifa.

Now, this is where it gets interesting…who are the elusive players about to sign?

It’s known that Marlon Harewood has been in Blackpool for the past week, but his agent has today told the Gazette that they’re still waiting for another offer from the club.

Trialist Alex Tayo is probably another who Ollie could be looking to tie down, given that he put in a decent shift after coming off the bench on Sunday.

Reports linking Sylvan Ebanks-Blake with a move to ‘Pool have been rumbling on all summer. Everything has gone quiet on that front – the calm before the storm perhaps?

Bolton boss Owen Coyle has said that he won’t stand in Chris Basham’s way if he wanted to sign for Ian Holloway. News of a second bid hasn’t been made public.

Some are saying that there is a WOW signing due to become a Blackpool player. Another ‘in the know’ type seems to think that Djibril Cisse is the man. That’s seemingly ridiculous, but who could it be…?

Cisse Lord of Frodsham, no thanks you can stay well away please. Glad Harewood deal is dead. I also have a hunch a Juninho type WOW signing is on the cards which will take our breath away. My moneys on Robinho.
