After the disappointment of the midweek loss against Cardiff Stoke visit Bloomfield Road

Blackpool Team News:

Striker Andy Morrell has been classed as doubtful with a back injury. Wes should return after a similar injury as should Bartosz Slusarski who has missed the last three games with an ankle injury. Keith Southern has now been ruled out for a couple of months after he had surgery on his ankle.

Player to watch: Kaspars Gorkss

I read a post on the message board this week that every Stoke player is 6`1 or taller, and as we know the Stoke game is to boss physically so expect Kaspars and Jacko to be heavily involved tomorrow. If they can stop Fuller and Sidibe winner the ball it will help scupper the plans of Tony Pulis. Gorkss had been tremendous in the air this season, lets hope that continues this weekend.

Stoke Team News:

Ryan Shawcross and John Eustace are available for selection after serving suspensions. Stephen Wright will play despite a nasty injury which required stitches. Former Pool loanee Andy Wilkinson with a thigh injury could miss the match.

Player to watch: Ricardo Fuller

His knee might be knackered but the big Jamaican forward has hit 6 goals this season and is always a threat. Fuller first came to England in 2001 signing for Palace but his stay only lasted a couple of months moving back to Tivoli Gardens. He moved back to the UK with Hearts but made his name at Preston. But with all good strikers at Preston he was promptly sold on to Pompy where he did sweet FA, a bit like David Nugent. After Pompy he had a dodgy knee and spells at Southampton and Ipswich, signing for Stoke in Summer 2006.

Match Facts & Stats

The sides last met in the 2001/02 season, twice in the league and once in the League Trophy. The league encounter at the Britannia ended in a 2-0 home win, the reverse leg ended in a 2-2 draw with a Iwelumo brace being canceled out by a Ormerod brace. The trophy match ended 3-2 to Blackpool.
