Pool face Huddersfield for the second time in seven days, this time in league action, Town will be seeking revenge after the Seasiders dumped them out of the F.A. cup last Saturday.
Blackpool Team News:
Ben Burgess will be looking for a place on the bench this weekend after hitting a hattrick in the reserve match this week. If he does find a place on the bench it will mean Matthew Blinkhorn dropping out of the match-day sixteen.
Player to watch: Ian Evatt
The loanee from QPR had a great game in the centre of defence, against tough opponent Andy Booth. Evatt also came close to opening his account for the Seasiders with a header in the first half.
Huddersfield Team News:
Town have had a recent injury crisis, to the extent that they have published a report from physio Lee Martin. Out of the game for sure are Tom Clarke and Pawel Abbot, the Pol` had surgery this week on a double hernia, ouch!
A major doubt is Martin McIntosh who failed a fitness test and is now out for 4-5 days. Peter Jackson will be able to call upon Chris Brandon who suffered a hamstring injury in the game at the weekend but reacted well to treatment. Also Michael Collins will be available for selection this weekend after a cold.
But, Jonathan Worthington, Andy Holdsworth and Danny Adams all will miss the trip to the seaside with suspensions.
Player to watch: Luke Beckett
You could almost hear the fear as well as the boo`s when the veteran striker came on to the park on Saturday. It`s been four games since the much travelled forward hit the back of the onion bag, he`s bagged six this season and will be looking to add to that tally on Saturday, but he might have to settle for a place on the bench again this Saturday.
Match Facts & Stats
Well we all know how it went last week, with a professional away 0-1 win at the Galpharm thanks to Wes`s strike from the 12-yard spot. In the league fixtures from last season Pool went done in both encounters.
At home a Chris Brandon penalty was the difference between the sides. At the Galpharm Pool showed one of their worst away performances of the season, goals from Tom Clarke and Danny Schofield saw off a poor Pool side.
