Blackpool are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Brad Potts in the four two victory over Doncaster Rovers at the weekend at Bloomfield Road was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Potts was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Blackpool fell behind in the first minute against Doncaster Rovers, but bounced back to claim a 4-2 triumph at Bloomfield Road. Potts started the comeback with a cool finish, and netted the ultimately decisive goal with a thunderous free-kick beyond the helpless Rovers’ keeper.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Potts for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Russell Griffiths (Cheltenham Town), Jon Meades (Wimbledon), Jordan Willis (Coventry City), Alex Baptiste (Preston North End), Brad Potts (Blackpool), Erhun Oztumer (Walsall), Anthony Wordsworth (Southend United), Paul Anderson (Northampton Town), Ayoze Perez (Newcastle United), Ollie Palmer (Leyton Orient), Adam Campbell (Notts County).
