Blackpool are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.
The performance by Brad Potts in the three one victory over Morecambe at the weekend at Bloomfield Road was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.
I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Potts was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.
‘Blackpool got the better of local rivals Morecambe, with Potts the star of the show in a 3-1 win on the Fylde coast. The midfielder’s fine cross was headed home by Mark Cullen for the opener, and he got himself on the scoresheet with a cool finish after a neat move.’
It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Potts for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the points.
