Another day, more rumours.

The Seasiders have now been linked with moves for Sunderland’s Phil Bardsley, Burnley’s Clarke Carlisle, and Portsmouth’s Danny Webber.

The Bardsley one is an interesting one as the story was actually broken by the local media up in Sunderland, meaning that there could actually be some weight to the rumour. Bardsley is a right back/centre half who has fallen out of favour with the Black Cats and has previously played for Manchester United, Rangers and Aston Villa (the latter two on loan).

The Carlisle and Webber rumours, meanwhile, both eminate from The Times.

Carlisle seemed to be tempted by a move back to Blackpool when he featured as a pundit at the playoff final, whilst Webber will be available on the cheap given Portsmouth’s financial woes. However, it should be noted that neither really excelled in the Premier League last season.
