In just over twenty four hours the Seasiders could be staring Premier League safety in the face if they beat Wolves.

After our midweek win over Spurs, you sense that ‘Pool are just a handful of points away from guarenteeing safety and a win against fellow relegation battlers Wolves tomorrow would see Ian Holloway’s side take a massive step towards safety.

Even a draw would be a decent result, but ‘Pool need to ensure that they don’t lose as they have done so often to fellow sides in the bottom half since the beginning of 2011; West Brom, West Ham and Everton to name three.

The Seasiders will be without the suspended Charlie Adam, but confidence in the camp is high following the Spurs win and whoever the eleven selected tomorrow are, they’ll be desperate to prove that we’re far more than a one man team.

Vital Quotes:

Just like with Spurs manager Harry Redknapp, there appears to be a lot of mutual respect between Ollie and Wolves boss Mick McCarthy:

‘That man [Mick McCarthy] will never shirk any responsibility and to play for him you’ve got to be like that. I admire him greatly.’

‘I would say Ian is already a contender for the award [Manager of the Year]. Blackpool have been a breath of fresh air and had a terrific result the other evening.’

Wolves Team News:

Kevin Doyle is expected to declare himself fit for the game, but Michael Kightly, Michael Mancienne and Stephen Hunt miss out through injury.

Player to watch: Jamie O’Hara

O’Hara is on loan at Molineux from Spurs and is a very capable midfielder at this level.

With Wolves having playing a 4-2-3-1 formation in recent weeks, expect the home side to get O’Hara on the ball as much as possible and drive them forward.

Blackpool Team News:

Captain Charlie Adam is suspended, whilst Chris Basham, Matt Gilks, Paul Rachubka, Stephen Crainey, Gary Taylor-Fletcher and Elliot Grandin are all out injured.

Player to watch: Ludovic Sylvestre

Performed well in midweek, and with Adam out tomorrow, Ludo will be expected to have even more effect on the game alongside David Vaughan.

The media seem to be under the impression that only Adam has the ability to ping the ball around the park, but Ludo does as well and ‘Pool will be reliant on him to stretch the home side.

Blackpool will score goals tomorrow!DJ Campbell and Sergei Kornilenko will blend together as an effective strike force, which will score the goals to take us out of the relegation battle. The defence should keep a clean sheet against a Wolves side which has a poor scoring record.
