With manager Neil McDonald saying he was hopeful of getting two more players over the line this week, the first of those has arrived in the shape of Scottish under 21 international Clark Robertson.

The versatile left back, who can also play centre half, has signed a two year deal with an option for a third year built in and he arrives at Bloomfield Road following his release from Scottish Premiership side Aberdeen.

Having come through their youth ranks, he made 68 appearances in total for them.

Speaking to the Official Site after penning his arrival, the player explained.

‘I`m really excited to move to Blackpool and I`m looking forward to a fresh start and a new challenge. I`ve been at Aberdeen since I was a boy at eight-years-old, I came through the youth system there and made my debut at 16. It feels strange to leave but it`s something I`m looking forward to. My ambition when I came through the youth system at Aberdeen was to get down to England. I want to force my way into the team here and see where it takes me.’

He is McDonald’s fourth signing of the summer since coming in as manager.
