The game at St. Mary’s stadium will now kick-off at 12.45pm on Saturday August 30th.

Simon Grayson has an excellent record as manager of Pool infront of the Sky cameras. His first game in charge of Blackpool in November 2005 was live on TV with Pool hammering Scunthorpe 5-2.

The last time Pool played in a live TV game in the South of the country Simon Grayson’s men ran out comfortable 3-0 winners at Brighton in October 2006. Scott Vernon grabbed a brace that day.

Last season Pool beat Hull 2-1 at Bloomfield Road in a game screened by Sky. We also sneaked a point at Scunthorpe with a late Michael Flynn goal in December infront of the cameras. Sadly our brilliant record on TV was tarnished by a 2-1 reverse at Barnsley last November.

Pool are likely to receive around £10,000 from the game against the Saints.

Will the fact that the game is live on TV mean that you stay at home rather than make the trip to Southampton?
