Salaheddine Sbaï will become Blackpool’s first January transfer in the coming days, according to the Blackpool Gazette.

The left-back is thought to have signed a deal until the end of the season from french club Nimes, with an option of extending that contract at the end of the season.

The 25-year-old was lorded by Ian Holloway after the 3-2 defeat to Manchester United last night, with the manager saying the Moroccan international has a fantastic left peg.

Despite being capped for his country, Sbai has had a modest club career so far. Before joining Nimes in 2009, he plyed his trade at Charleroi in Belgium.

It has been said that Ollie decided to sign Sbai on the back of watching DVD’s. A risky strategy, but Elliot Grandin was also signed this way.

The player was at the game last night, and although there are the finishing touches to be had on the deal, he should play some part next week against West Ham United.

Wonder how much Hollow-head will make out of this transfer?
Any profits should go back into Blackpool FC, not the clowns apron!
