Seasider’s Striker Nightmare

It would appear Blackpool haven’t learnt the lessons of last year in terms of recruitment, as Neil McDonald is faced with a crisis in the striker department.

Elliot Lee opted not to extend his loan deal at the Tangerines despite West Ham saying he could do so, as revealed by the Blackpool Gazette, and Andy Little is also set to return to Preston.

Accompanied by injuries to Mark Cullen, Jack Redshaw and Martin Paterson, Blackpool now have no strikers for the game against Port Vale on Saturday.

This is exactly the sort or mid season meltdown Blackpool can’t afford to have and with McDonald’s side now back in the relegation sone, these are once again worrying times for the Tangerines.

Along with Will Aimson, Dean Lyness and Hayden White returning to their clubs, Neil McDonald now has a serious lack of options in his squad.

Karl Oyston must act fast to fix this problem and recruit players good enough for the division, sadly though us Blackpool fans have seen this situation happen far too many times before and know the long term consequence could well be relegation.
