Blackpool have beaten the loan deadline to sign Everton full back Seamus Coleman.

Coleman, 21, who plays at right back, has played for the Toffees seven times this campaign and goes straight into the squad for tomorrow’s game against Crystal Palace.

His attacking style, especially when coming on as a substitute against Tottenham in January earned him rave reviews, but he’s struggled for consistent first team action since.

Having played for Ireland’s U21 and U23’s, Coleman looks set to have a bright future.

At present it is not yet known how long the player will be at Bloomfield Road for, but Seasiders manager Ian Holloway confirmed the move last night at a function at the club.

Meanwhile, winger Ishmel Demontagnac has joined League Two promotion chasers Chesterfield on an initial month’s loan, with manager Ian Holloway claiming that he needs to get some first team football under his belt.
