Barnsley
Home Win
Away Draw
For some the Barnsley Boys are set to finish in bottom place. They finished in 20th last season and look to be pinning hope on a trio of signings to turn things around. Rohan Ricketts joined from Wolves, Kayode Odejayi from Cheltenham and Lewin Nyatanga from Derby on loan are pick of the summer signings

Bristol City
Home Win
Away Win
After quite a few attempts Bristol City have finally made it into the Championship but will struggle to maintain that status. Stephen Henderson, Lee Trundle are two names that stand out in the in list, with Michael McIndoe who signed in from Wolves last season a good bargain. After out 5-2 thrashing last season we should expect to take maximum points from the Bristol outfit.

Burnley
Home Win
Away Lose
Steve Cotterill has a make or break season at Burnley, after narrowly avoid the sack after that long run without a victory earlier this year. Cotterill has only brought in only four players this summer. Crazy keeper Gabor Kiraly, young Albanian striker Besart Berisha, Turf favourite Robbie Blake and Stephen Jordan a defender from City, Manchester City.

Cardiff City
Home Draw
Away Lose
After a blistering start to the season the Bluebirds were unable to keep up with the pace and finished mid-table Dave Jones has brought in the services of experienced striker Robbie Fowler to replace Michael Chopra. Former Pool favourite Trevor Sinclair has signed up too.

Charlton
Home Lose
Away Lose
The favourites for the division, there has been a massive exodus over the summer 19 at the Valley Darren Bent, Hreidarsson, Luke Young, Rommedahl, Hasselbaink and El-Karkouri all leaving. They have been able to bring in Luke Varney, Iwelumo , Svetoslav Todorov and Weaver, but non of them replace the quality that have left. With Alan Pardew in charge the Addicks should return to the Premiership first time of asking.

Colchester United
Home Win
Away Lose
Amazingly strong at home last season they may face problems this season with losing the leagues top scorer Jamie Cureton who moved to Norwich in the break. Old boy Teddy Sheringham has come into the squad, and Kevin Lisbie from Charlton to replace Cureton but they may struggle if they are unable to continue the home form of last season.

Coventry
Home Draw
Away Lose
Iain Dowie has managed to improve his squad this summer, keeper Konstantopoulos has signed from Hartlepool, De Zeeuw from Wigan and Michael Hughes from Palace the standout signings. It should be another mid-table finish for the Sky Blues unless Sloth can weave his magic as he did with Palace.

Crystal Palace
Home Win
Away Draw
Hardly any fresh blood for Palace this summer, Peter Taylor must be content with his squad. Some are placing their hopes on Lewis Grabban who a striker in the mould of form Eagle Andy Johnson, but Clinton Morrison will bang his customary 15 for the season.

Hull City
Home Win
Away Draw
After struggling last season and only surviving thanks to goals from Big Deano Windass Mr Tantastic (Phil Brown) will struggle to keep the Tigers in the league. They were meant to bring in midfield Juninho but instead got Brian Hughes from Charlton, no disrespect to Hughes, but that`s just not the same.

Ipswich
Home Draw
Away Lose
Jim Magilton`s second season in charge, he`ll be looking to build upon last years finish of 14th. Pablo Counago has come back for a second spell at Portman Road and another returning player Tommy Miller will provide the fire power, but it looks like mid-table again for the Tractor Boys.

Leicester
Home Draw
Away Draw
Our opening day opponents have spent well over the summer with the money of Milan Mandaric. Bruno N’Gotty, Kishishev, Shaun Newton Stephen Clemence and DJ Campbell will help Martin Allen in his first season at the Walkers. Whether the eccentric Martin Allen will be able to cut it with a new team managing at Championship level for the time will be seen on the opening day.

So from those 11 games I`ve predicted a massive 30 points, twelve more teams to look at in part two, another 20 should see us stay up!
