With all of yesterday’s frenzied speculation on the transfer front, we didn’t have time to bring you this story: Marcel Seip has been awarded around £70,000 in bonus payments for his part in getting the Seasiders promoted from the Championship a year ago.

Seip played seven games on loan for the ‘Pool, scoring twice (including one against his parent club Plymouth!), yet for some reason, didn’t have his share of the £5 million bonus promotion pot paid out.

After a legal hearing though, it was judged that BFC had no reason to withhold his bonus, and the club must now pay him his bonus, plus associated legal costs and interest.
