Trevor Sinclair has taken to Twitter to reveal that he applied for the Blackpool job, before Neil McDonald got it, as well as confirming he would like a return to West Ham in the future too.
West Ham, following the exits of Sam Allardyce and McDonald, are looking for a new manager and this has seen the Lancaster City assistant manager throw his hat into the ring for consideration for the job at Upton Park as he exchanged messages with West Ham fans on social media.
Sinclair’s almost fully qualified with all the coaching badges he needs with the 42-year-old keen to make the step up, which he initially wanted back with us saying that he applied but this application was rejected.
‘I already approached BlackpoolFC and offered my services. They declined, I move on.’
A Blackpool favourite, and someone many would welcome back to the club in the future, it’s little surprise that his application was declined as, even though it’s fair to say he’s got a point, branding the club ‘a laughing stock’ saying that our decision making with players was ‘poor’ and our training ground ‘a disgrace’ would hardly have won over the hierarchy making the decisions!
One day, if the day does come, when we’re more stable perhaps and ever fall under different ownership Sinclair might return to Bloomfield Road, he might even get a chance at Upton Park, but it’ll not be this summer with either club….
