Sky Sports believe that Blackpool centre half Dekel Keinan is on the verge of joining Cardiff City, and that he may well depart for the Championship side before the weekend.

It is unclear whether the deal would be a loan or permanent, but the Welsh club have been tracking the Israeli international for a while now and watched him earlier this month in ‘Pool’s defeat at Southampton in the FA Cup.

Keinan only joined the Seasiders in the summer on a free transfer from Maccabi Haifa, but despite his Champions League and international experience, he has found it difficult to get games and doubts have been raised over his ability at this level.

If Dekel does indeed move on, then expect the Seasiders to bring in another centre half before the transfer window closes.

Meanwhile, in other news, ‘Pool are being linked to Peterborough’s George Boyd, although the prospects for any deal look slim with the Posh slapping a £2 million price tag on him.

Perhaps more importantly though, the local press in Blackpool and Barnsley have refuted the claims by the nationals that Barnsley’s Adam Hammill is set to sign for Wolves and that the player is still deciding between the the Seasiders and Mick McCarthy’s men. In fact, the press in Barnsley claim that we’re favourites to sign him… fingers crossed!

Permanent move. Talks are ongoing today but are very advanced. I heard it will be a small downpayment only, but a significant wedge to you guys and the player if we get promoted….
    is he any good?!?

Looks very hit and miss to me. Sometimes he looks imperious at the back, other times he looks like a fish out of water.
