The Blackpool Gazette are reporting that Blackpool midfielder Keith Southern is in talks with Championship side Leeds United about a loan move away from Bloomfield Road.

The potential move was first rumoured towards the beginning of the transfer window, but the Seasiders prevented any deal from going through until they felt they had suitable strengthened their squad this month – something that appears to (finally) be happening on a manic transfer deadline day at Bloomfield Road.

Southern is currently in Leeds talking to ex ‘Pool manager Simon Grayson about the move which is expected to be a loan deal until the end of the season.

Gnashers has been a big player for Blackpool but has struggled for games this season after suffering an injury in pre-season.

So whilst Southern may be leaving, we will have news on a potential new signing in the coming minutes.
