Despite evidence on Ranger’s instagram that he has returned to Blackpool training, Neil McDonald has revealed to BBC Radio Lancashire that he still has no future at the club.
Ranger posted videos on his instagram page of himself running up sand dunes whilst being watched over by coach Scott Armstrong which led some to believe he could yet play for Blackpool FC again.
However, Neil McDonald told BBC Radio Lancashire ‘Through his contractual obligations we have to try and get him fit, when he turns up, if he turns up, whenever he turns up. We’re available for him but he won’t train with the first team and he won’t train anywhere near the ground.’
Adding: ‘As I said two months ago, he’s got no future as long as I’m the manager here.’
So despite the rumours, McDonald has confirmed he does not want to use Nile Ranger in his squad and they are simply helping him.
Though what is strange is that they are willing to use a coach to help a player that has done virtually nothing in the past to help the club.
